BYU Wind Symphony Brazilian Tour 2026
The BYU Wind Symphony, the premier wind ensemble of Brigham Young University, will carry out its Brazilian Tour 2026, an international initiative focused on artistic, educational, and cultural exchange with the Brazilian wind band community. Recognized for its high artistic standards and diverse repertoire, the ensemble’s visit to Brazil will highlight the importance of academic touring as a platform for cross-cultural dialogue and professional development.
As part of the tour’s conceptual framework, the ensemble has prepared the concert program “A Brazilian Celebration,” designed as an artistic homage to Brazilian and Latin American musical traditions. The Brazilian Tour 2026 will feature repertoire ranging from cornerstone works of the symphonic wind literature to contemporary compositions, offering Brazilian audiences insight into different interpretative approaches and performance practices.
In addition to concerts, the tour will emphasize educational engagement, encouraging interaction with students, conductors, instrumentalists, and educators. Through workshops, shared rehearsals, and institutional exchanges, the BYU Wind Symphony aims to contribute to the development of wind music education while strengthening networks between academic institutions and musical initiatives in both countries.
