Bert Langeler

Bert Langeler, (1962 ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands). He began his musical life as a trumpeter at the local wind orchestra “Koninklijke Harmonie ‘s-Hertogenbosch” and the “Heineken fanfare. He graduated his BA and MA studies in trumpet and wind orchestra conducting at Tilburg Conservatory (NL). Later he graduated additional MA conducting studies at Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. He has been a conductor, lecturer, brass and woodwind teacher in different music schools and conductor of 20 wind orchestras, fanfare orchestras, brass bands, organizer of international events, arranger, manager, consultant, and instructor for more than 40 years in the Netherlands and abroad. After moving to Estonia in 2008, activities continued in his new homeland. He is currently a brass teacher, conductor of the wind orchestras and brass ensembles at the different music schools in Estonia. Since 2023 he is the conductor of the Symphonic Wind Orchestra of Tallinn Music and Ballet School and since 2013 elected thrice as the chief conductor of Estonian National Conductors’ Wind Orchestra VOP. Lecturer of wind orchestra repertoire at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and brass and didactic teacher at the University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy. Since 2017 he has been one of the conductors of wind orchestras at every Estonian Song Celebration (2017, 2023 conductor and 2019, 2025, 2028 artistic leader ).
