Ensembles who wish to perform in the Fringe Festival shall apply using this form to the WASBE Local Organizing Committee Chairperson, Mr. Marcelo Jardim, with all materials to be submitted until Oct 1, 2025.

Selected ensembles for the conference Fringe Festival will be announced on November 1, 2025.

The Frige Festival will take place at Passeio Público Park, Praça da Cinelândia and occasionally at Sala Cecília Meireles. The following information is to help the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) find the right seats for your concert at the WASBE Conference in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Please mark the concert performance dates that are impossible for you to perform. If accepted, WASBE will try to follow all requests as much as possible.

Our ensemble is willing to provide as voluntary ensemble for a conductor ́s masterclass.

Our ensemble is willing perform a premiere in conjunction with the APC.

A suggested listing of compositions considered appropriate for performance at a WASBE Conference Fringe Festival and the rationale for selecting these works, including length of piece and dates & nationality of composer.

A work of underrepresented composers (from Latin-America Country).

Declaration

Please read and understand all statements indicated below before submitting the application form.

We confirm that the conductor(s) are current WASBE members, and we understand that the conductors must be current WASBE members at the time of the conference.

We understand that WASBE supports diversity and recommends the inclusion of underrepresented composers (from your country/region) within your program.

We understand that the repertoire going to be performed has to be accepted by the LOC.

We understand that this application is for the performance at the WASBE Conference Fringe Festival, with a concert to be held on an outdoor stage, with sound systems, and the repertoire needs to have a more popular and informal character and we are willing to sign a Letter of Agreement with WASBE based on the Guidelines, seven months in advance of the conference.

We understand that a deposit of USD 300 will be payable upon acceptance to perform at WASBE 2026. USD 150 will be refunded upon completion of performance and if all conditions are met.

We understand that we are responsible for our own travel, housing and meal expenses.
