From November 4 to 6, the Centro de Instrução Almirante Sylvio de Camargo (CIASC), on Ilha do Governador, hosted the Francisco Braga Band Festival, promoted by the Brazilian Navy in partnership with the UFRJ School of Music. The free event brought together more than 600 musicians, with an audience exceeding 2,000 people.

The program included lectures, workshops, and concerts, totaling over 5 hours of performances and 8 hours of educational activities, with 21 workshops led by 35 instructors, including conductors Marcelo Jardim (UFRJ), Dario Sotelo (Brazilian Wind Orchestra), and Lélio Alves (UNIRIO).

The festival featured 11 bands—six military and five civilian—and 10 music projects, honoring maestro Francisco Braga and reinforcing the dialogue between culture, music education, and cooperation between civilian and military institutions.
