Registration Terms and Conditions
WASBE Conference 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern the registration and participation in the WASBE Conference 2026, to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. By completing the registration process on the official event website, the participant declares that they have read, understood, and fully accepted the terms described below.
1. Event Registration
Registration grants the participant access to the activities corresponding to the selected registration category at the time of purchase.
The categories and benefits included in each registration type are described on the official page:
https://wasbe2026.com/registration
Registration is personal and non-transferable, unless expressly authorized by the organization.
2. Payment
Payments are processed through the secure payment platform Stripe.
3. Currency
Registration fees are defined in United States Dollars (USD).
At the time of payment, the amount is automatically converted into Brazilian Reais (BRL) based on the exchange rate applicable on the day of the transaction.
Therefore:
• the final amount charged may vary according to daily exchange rate fluctuations
• the amount displayed in BRL at checkout corresponds to the actual amount charged to the payment method
• the amount displayed in BRL at checkout is the final transaction amount and prevails over any reference in foreign currency
Any fees charged by the card issuer or financial institution are the responsibility of the participant.
Exchange Rate and Pricing Reference
The amounts displayed in USD on the website are provided as a global reference, intended to standardize pricing internationally.
To comply with Brazilian financial regulations and payment processing requirements, all transactions are conducted in Brazilian Reais (BRL).
The conversion from USD to BRL is based on the official exchange rate published by the Central Bank of Brazil, with an additional 1% spread applied to account for possible exchange rate variations between the time the rate is obtained and the time the transaction is completed.
Accordingly:
• the final amount in BRL may slightly differ from the USD reference price
• depending on the participant’s local currency and conversion policies, the amount effectively paid may vary slightly above or below the reference value
By completing the registration, the participant acknowledges and agrees with this exchange rate policy.
4. Registration Confirmation
Registration is considered confirmed only after:
• payment approval by the payment processor or chosen payment method
• receipt of the automatic confirmation email sent by the system
The organization reserves the right to cancel registrations in cases of:
• fraud
