AquaRio is the largest marine aquarium in South America, located in the revitalized Port Zone of Rio de Janeiro. Opened in 2016, it spans over 26,000 square meters and houses more than 10,000 animals from around 350 different species. Its main attraction is the Oceanic Tank, with 3.5 million liters of saltwater and a tunnel that allows visitors to walk through and observe sharks, rays, and other marine life up close.
