Rio Scenarium
Rio Scenarium is a renowned cultural venue located in the historic Lapa district of Rio de Janeiro. Established in 1999, it initially operated as an antique store specializing in props for film and television productions. By 2001, it transformed into a vibrant music venue, reviving the site’s earlier role as the Clube Humaitá de Dança, a famed dance hall.
Housed in a 19th-century mansion, Rio Scenarium spans three floors, each adorned with an eclectic collection of vintage furniture and artifacts, creating a unique ambiance that blends history with contemporary entertainment. The venue offers seven distinct environments, including spaces like the Palco Principal, dedicated to samba performances, and the Espaço Anexo, which hosts pop, rock, and jazz acts.
Beyond its musical offerings, Rio Scenarium is celebrated for its culinary experiences, featuring customized drinks and traditional Brazilian dishes. Its commitment to preserving Brazilian culture and providing high-quality entertainment has solidified its status as a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists seeking an authentic Rio nightlife experience.
